I suppose a more accurate headline would be that Genia Stevens talked with me. The program, SistersTalk, is an ongoing Internet radio series broadcast on BlogTalkRadio. That’s a platform with which I’m familiar as I host my own weekly program there (with a new one coming soon!)
A couple of months back, I was scheduled to be on Genia’s show when I was participating in the Panasonic Living in HD Insider competition. A comedy of errors (mostly mine) resulted in that not happening. Thankfully, and with the help of the fabulous Leyla Farah and her team at Cause + Effect PR, Genia and I rescheduled.
Thus I spent a thought provoking 30 minutes on a Sunday glistening with early spring sunshine. The conversation focused largely on my role as an LGBT activist, but wended its way through social media and of course when the conversation turned to Lt. Dan Choi and Robin McGehee being arrested in Washington, DC, I had to leap on a soapbox too.
