LIVE from the home of Longhorns and superlative barbecue, this week’s episode is saturated in SXSW – that’s South by Southwest for those perhaps less familiar with the acronym. This annual festival, which began as a music festival then expanded to include film and – most recently – interactive, takes over Austin every year around this time. On this week’s show, we’ll hear from JR Johnson of Lunch – talking about the new products they’ve launched at SXSW. Better Homes & Garden Real Estate CEO Sherry Chris will join the show talking about her maiden voyage to this maelstrom of merriment, Tyler Barth of Blue Microphones will share his angle on things (and talk about some cool products), and expect to hear from a parade of geekish characters to round out the episode.

J.R. Johnson is the CEO and founder of Lunch. Before starting Lunch, J.R. was the founder and CEO of VirtualTourist.com and OneTime. Under his leadership, VirtualTourist.com grew to a one million-plus member organization and has earned honors from Time magazine, Newsweek, and Travel + Leisure, among others. The three-time entrepreneur sold VirtualTourist to Expedia in 2008. A graduate of the University of Southern California and S.M.U. Law School, J.R. is now considered a pioneer in the field of Internet information sharing and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. After growing up in Westlake Village, California, J.R. returned to his birthplace, Manhattan Beach where he currently lives. He likes watching sports and rooting for his beloved USC Trojans.
