In the world that is Zappos culture, much is emphasized with regards to the individual. It’s a company that lauds its employees for their uniqueness, empowers people at every level to take ownership and make decisions and, above all, encourages people to push their boundaries and strive to be better. So it is perfectly fitting that the company has its own “coach” on staff. Part of the Zappos Insights team, Augusta Scott leads her coaching sessions in the “royalty room” (complete with a throne) … Well, that’s something else entirely. In this interview, Scott explains how she came to this job, what it’s all about and how it fits into the Downtown Project.
